Learn how to quickly and easily send money to a friend or family member with a Gate City Bank account! With intrabank transfers, you can add their account as a transfer option within Online & Mobile Banking.
You can deposit checks anytime, anywhere with the mobile app. Mobile Deposit allows you to deposit checks using your mobile device by taking a photo of the front and back of your check. To get started with Mobile Deposit, log into your Gate City Bank mobile app and look for "Mobile Deposit". Try it out today and have the freedom to deposit checks when and where it’s most convenient for you.
Receive information about your accounts quickly through a text message on your mobile phone! Simply text a short message (command) to Text Banking from your mobile phone, and you will quickly receive information about your accounts. To get started with Text Banking, log into Online or Mobile Banking and select "Profile", then "Text Banking" to activate your phone.
With text banking you can check account balances, review recent transactions, transfer money between Gate City Bank accounts, receive low balance alerts and more! Simply text your command to 77592. The commands are not case sensitive. Texting uses your wireless phone's texting capabilities. Standard text messaging rates may apply. Check with your mobile service provider for fees and charges. Text Banking supports the following commands:
bal- returns the balance on your primary checking or savings account.
bal <nickname> -When you create short nicknames for text banking, you can use the short nicknames with the balance command to find the balance of any account. For example, if you gave a nickname to your checking account as“chk”, you could text“bal chk”to get the balance information for that specific account.
bal all -returns the available balance of all your accounts.
trans- this command is used for performing transfers. The short nicknames can be applied to the command astrans <fromaccountnickname> <toaccountnickname> <amount>For example, if you gave a nickname of“chk”to your checking account and a nickname of“sav”to your saving account, you could use“trans chk sav 10.50”.
hist- returns the history with last 5 transactions of your primary account. The short nicknames can be applied to the command ashist <nickname>For example, if you gave a nickname of“chk”to your checking account, you could use“hist chk”.
more- this command is used with thehistcommand. When you request the history of an account by texting“hist”, it returns with the last 5 transactions. To get the next 5 transactions, simply text“more”. Texting “more”again will return the next 5 transactions and so on until there are no additional transactions available on your account.
nick- returns a list of all your account nicknames.
help- returns a list of all commands.
stop- this command will unsubscribe the phone from Text Banking.
