Apple Pay Set Up

Set Up Your iPhone

Apple Pay® is easy to use and easy to set up. To set up Apple Pay on your iPhone or Apple Watch, follow these simple steps:

  1. Select the Wallet app on your iPhone. This is usually located on the main screen.
  2. Tap the + symbol.
  3. Use your phone’s camera to scan your card’s number and expiration date. You can enter this information manually if you prefer.
  4. Enter the three-digit security code located on the back of your card.
  5. Tap 'Next'.

Upon verification, you will receive an email or letter from Gate City Bank to acknowledge your card is ready to be used digitally.

Set Up Your Apple Watch

  1. Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, and go to the My Watch tab. If you have multiple watches, choose one.
  2. Tap Wallet & Apple Pay.
  3. Follow the steps to add your card.
  4. Tap 'Next'

Upon verification, you will receive an email or letter from Gate City Bank to acknowledge your card is ready to be used digitally.

Using Apple Pay

Pay with iPhone 8 or earlier

To use your default card, rest your finger on Touch ID and hold the top of your iPhone within a few centimeters of the contactless reader until you see Done and a checkmark on the display.

Pay with iPhone X

To use your default card, double-click the side button, then glance at iPhone X to authenticate with Face ID or enter your passcode. Hold the top of iPhone X within a few centimeters of the contactless reader until you see Done and a checkmark on the display.

Pay with Apple Watch

To use your default card, double-click the side button and hold the display of your Apple Watch within a few centimeters of the contactless reader. Wait until you feel a gentle tap.
