During the 2019 Teddy Bear Posse event, held from March 12 through May 14, 4,532 teddy bears and stuffed animals were donated at Gate City Bank locations. This led to a grand total of over 5,700 collected!
Each year the brave men and women that protect our cities, counties and states find themselves needing to comfort a child who is experiencing a frightening situation. One of the simplest ways to accomplish this has been for police and service members to carry a teddy bear or stuffed animal. Gate City Bank is proud to support the local first responders in their efforts to provide comfort to children in our communities during a difficult time through the Teddy Bear Posse event for the third year in a row.
Since 2017, Gate City Bank has distributed 9,901 teddy bears to local law enforcement through the Teddy Bear Posse.
