Gate City Bank has partnered with Giving Hearts Day and the Dakota Medical Foundation since 2014; the event has grown exponentially during this time. Over the years, Giving Hearts Day has turned into one of the premier fundraising events in the nation, and it continues to grow every year.
Gate City Bank is dedicated to providing a better way of life in the communities we serve, and this extends to our involvement with Giving Hearts Day. Every year our team members are encouraged to volunteer with their favorite Giving Hearts Day charity. As with other volunteer opportunities throughout the year, Gate City Bank supports team members volunteering during the workday without having to use PTO - this affords the opportunity to participate in philanthropic endeavors they are passionate about without needing to sacrifice valuable time with family.

Gate City Bank has donated over $845,000 and 2,230 team member volunteer hours to more than 265 regional Giving Hearts Day charities. Charities receive donations in a variety of ways, including through the Gate City Bank nomination contest, team member volunteerism, matching gifts and surprise donation boosts.
